Oral pathology is the specialty of dentistry and pathology which deals with the nature, identification, causes, processes, effect and management of diseases affecting oral and maxillofacial regions.. The course is designed to enable the students to diagnose different diseases using clinical, radiographic, microscopic features as well as biochemical and other analytical methods. 3. To continue to provide a high quality diagnostic oral & maxillofacial histopathology service.. To provide a high quality clinical training in diagnostic oral pathology. 5. To increase grant income. 6. To foster collaboration in the Unit and School as well as in the wider university and beyond. 7. To support the personal development of staff and students. 8. To negotiate and successfully transfer of the processing of the histopatho logical specimens to Laboratory Medicine.
